The coastal area of the Machalilla park and the island De La Plata, a small rocky island located at 22 nautical miles, offer throughout the year various diving sites suitable for all divers, regardless of experience or certification level.
Fauna is very interesting and extremely rich and abundant.

Diving Tours
Underwater fauna is very rich and abundant. There are great groups of reef fishes, such as: Chaetodons, Butterfly Fishes, Trumpetfish , Cornetfish, Seebass, Tetraodontidae and Diodontidae, like various species of Puffers and Ballonfish, Morays, Snappers, Triggerfishes, Parrotfish , Scorpionfish , Manta Ray, Eagle Ray and Reef Sharks.
Marine tortoises can also be seen here, same as various starfish species and Sea Cucumbers..

Every diver must:

- Have dive certification card and logbook, of any registered agency (PADI, NAUI, SSI, ACUC, DIVA, CMAS, FEDAS, YMCA, DEWA ETC...) recognized all around the world.
- Sign the document of liability release and own risk assumption.
- Be in a good health conditions, in order to develop recreational dive activities.

    DAY TRIPS DIVES IN MACHALILLA COAST OR DE LA PLATA ISLAND
You will make two daily immersions. The depth and duration will be established according to the PADI table (PADI Recreational Dive Planner), and will depend on the experience of the divers. Generally the immersions take place between 15 and 30 meters.

PADI Diving Courses
    PADI"Open Water Diver" Course
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to enjoy scuba diving and receive a certification a the same time, and consists of classroom and pool sessions and four open water dives.

    PADI "Advanced Open Water Diver" Course
This course was made for the novice as well as the experienced diver. The course stresses practical application rather than heavy theory to broaden the diver´s awareness of the environment, and their capabilities as divers. It consists in five dives: navigation, deep, and three elective dive.

    PADI "Rescue Diver" Course
This course will expand the diver´s knowledge, experience and skills to effectively perform diver rescues and assists. The course consists on classroom, pool sessions and open water dives. The Rescue Diver Course is a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster Course.

    PADI "Dive Master" Course
This course consists on three modules. Watermanship and skills assessment, knowledge development and a practical application. Divemaster training is the first leadership level of training. This course prepares an individual to attend an Instructor Development Course (IDC).
