Amazonia is the richest, oldest, most productive and most complex of the ecosystems on Earth.

Visiting the Amazon in Ecuador is easier than in other South America countries. From Quito, you enter into the tropical forest area after hardly 2 hours of road, and 45 minutes of flight are enough to join the most remote Amazonian cities.

The Ecuadorian jungle shelters one of the most prolific diversity of species in fauna and in flora of Amazonie and age-old ethnic groups of Indian continue to live there according to their ancestral traditions : Cofanes, Siona-Secoyas, Huoranis, Shuar and Achuar, amongst others.

Jungle Lodge Programs

A comfortable Hacienda comprising an area of 250 hectares, less than ten kilometres from Tena, the capital of Ecuador's Northern Amazon Basin. Hakuna Matata is a unique hill retreat far from the beaten tourist track where total relaxation is absolutely guaranteed.

A really ecologic lodge, together with the protected rainforest Selva Viva and the animal rehabilitation center AmaZOOnico, located in the primary rainforest near Misahualli, only 6 hours from Quito. Privacy and personal attention because the lodge is small.

A rustic, ecologic but comfortable lodge surrounded by primary forest and tropical lagoons located in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, the second largest ecuadorian Reserve, well known as a biodiversity hot spot and one of the most spectacular sites in the Amazon Basin.

Adventure in the Quichuas Indian territory. Discover the Amazonian forest and the life of the local populations in direct contact with the nature and the Indian communities.
An original jungle trek circuit with walks in the Amazon forest where you will swim in lagoons and waterfalls, cross the Misahualli river en canoe and discover the Amazonian forest and the life of the local populations.
Lodging in huts of the Indian community and other more rustic huts in the forest.
This program is part of a project of community ecotourism which supports directly the development of the local Quechuas Indian communities.

•   Cuyabeno Wildlive Reserve Campsite   4 or 5 days
The Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve well known as a biodiversity hot spot is one of the most spectacular sites in the Amazon Basin. This operation is located in the upper part of the Cuyabeno river, near the Laguna Grande.
The campsite belongs to a local Indian Secoya family who found ecotourism as the best alternative to protect their land and culture.
